Choir has just returned from its tour to Germany, Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic. Watch
Pictures from the tour
In Germany the choir performed in the St.
Magdalene-church and in Bamberg. In Austria the choir performed in Neusiedl
am See and in the Bergkirche
in Eisenstadt. In Hungary there were concerts in Budapest, in The Danish
Cultural Institue and in Soltvadkert.
Finally the choir sang in the Ludmilla Church in Prague in the
Czech Republic. |

| The 2003 tour took place in The Baltic area. In association with the Sankt Annæ Big Band, the Sankt Annæ Youth Choir had an exciting and succesful Tour. Especially Duke Ellington's "Sacred Concert" was very much appreciated by the audience. Both the choir and the big band had their own concerts. Highlights were Concerts at The Temple Square Church in Helsinki, and Kaarli Kirik in Tallin. |

Choir tour, october 1999 |
| October 1999 the Sankt Annæ Youth Choir toured Iceland. In Reykjavik the Choir was hosted by the famous Icelandic Youth Choir Hamrahlidarkórinn and its leader Thorgerdur Ingólfsdottir. In Akureyri the Choir stayed at Menntaskólinn á Akureyri. We thank the school for letting the entire choir and the teachers stay in their beautiful buildings. The Choir held concerts in Reykjavik, Skálholt og Akureyri. |

| New year concert On Saturday January 14th, the Sankt Annæ Gymnasium held its New year concert. The concert was a joint concert with the three choirs of the school, the Sankt Annæ Youth Choir, The Copenhagen Girls' Choir and the Copenhagen Royal Chapel Choir. The Youth Choir performed music by a.o. David Wilcox, Edward Grieg and John Høybye. The concert was concluded by the joint performance of "Her kommer, Jesus, dine små" by Michael Bojesen. |

| Christmas concert On Sunday, December 11th, the Christmas concert was held at Sankt Johannes Kirke. In this beatiful church the choir performed music be two of the great composer from the romantic era, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and Edvard Grieg The chamber choir sang music by Knud Jeppesen, Morten Lauridsen and Jørgen Lauritsen. The entire choir ended the concert by a section of Christmas Carols. The concert was conducted by Flemming Windekilde. |

| Cd-recording On Thursday November 10th the chamber choir of the Sankt Annæ Youth choir recorded material for the upcoming Cd in Brønshøj Church. |
| Presentation concert On Tuesday October 4th the choir presentede the repertoire for the USA-Canada tour in the Sankt Annæ Salen. The new singers, those that have joined the choir after summer break, but will not take part in the tour, had their own seciton of the concert. |

| On Thursday, May 19th, the Sankt Annæ Youth Choir held a joint concert in Brønshøj Kirke with the choir from Kantorei St. Magdalena – Herzogenaurach. The choirs wew led by Flemming Windekilde and Toni Rotter. The audience listened to music by a.o. Johs. Brahms, Vagn Holmboe, Knud Jeppesen, and the German youth choir performed also performed a large section of gospel music. |

concert with the Copenhagen Girls' Choir On Tuesday March 15th. the Copenhagens Girls' Choir and the chamber choir of the Sankt Annæ Youth Choir held a joint concert at Helligaandskirken, Copenhagen. The Sankt Annæ Youth Choir was conducted by Flemming Windekilde. The girls from grade 6 and 7 were conducted by Claus Vestergaard Jensen. Arne Berg accompagnied the Girls' Choir on organ and piano, but also played the big organ Chorale in a minor by César Franck. The Youth Choir performed music by Knud Jeppesen, Vagn Holmboe and Brahms, the Girls' Choir performed music by a.o. Knut Nystedt, Michael Bojesen and Claus V. Jensen. More pictures from the concert |

from Iceland From Thursday March 3rd. through Monday March 7th. the Sankt Annæ Youth Choir had guests from Iceland, a youth choir from Akureyri. Our guests held a concert at the school on Friday 4th. and at Sct. Johannes Kirke Sunday 6th. |

On Friday, september 17th, the Sankt Annæ Gymnasium celebrated its 75th anniversary.
The Sankt Annæ Youth Choir and the Copenhagen
Royal Chapel Choir and The Copenhagen
Girls' Choir held a joint concert in Sankt Annæ Salen, the great
concert hall situated in the school. The concert began with the original
performance of "Elsk jorden som dig
selv", written for the jubilee by Palle Mikkelborg, famous Danish composer
and trumpet player. The Youth Choir performed 'Cloudburst', by Eric Whitacre.
This work is among the works which are the Youth Choirs' contribution to the joint Cd, celebrating the jubilee.

Concert at St. Markus Church
On Tuesday march 30th. the Chamber Choir of the Sankt Annæ Youth Choir held a joint Concert with the Copenhagen Girls' Choir. The Chamber Choir performed music by Duruflé, Poulenc, Siegfried Pedersen and Ward Swingle. The concert concluded with the joint original performance of "O Lord of Heaven" by Claus Vestergaard Jensen, for doubble choir. Arne Berg played the organ at the concert. |

Fauré: Requiem
On Thursday march 11th. and Friday march 12th. the Sankt Annæ Youth Choir held concerts with the Copenhagen Philharmonic and other youth choirs. The ensemble performed one of the choral master pieces of all time, the Requiem by Gabriel Fauré. The french conductor Claire Gibault led the performances. |

Singing at the reward ceremony
of the Copenhagen Technical School
Once again the "Københavns Tekniske Skole" (Copenhagen Technical School) had asked The Sankt Annæ Youth Choir to entertain at its annual hand-over of rewards on tuesday may 13th. The choir sang the Royal anthem when Her Royal Majesty Queen Margrethe II entered Copenhagen City Hall. Later the choir sang danish songs and music by Danish popular songwriters Sebastian and Anne Linnet. |

Joint concert with the Sankt Annæ Girls' Choir
On Sunday, march 23rd. Sankt Annæ Youth Choir held a joint concert with the Sankt Annæ Girls' Choir at Skt. Markus Kirke. The programme featured music by Benjamin Britten, Knut Nystedt, Michael Bojesen and Claus V. Jensen.
Il Trovatore
In January 2003 the young men from the Sankt Annæ Youth Choir, in association with "Operaakademiet", performed excerpts from Verdis "Il Trovatore" at The Royal Theatre, Copenhagen.
Christmas concerts with Handels Messiah
The Sankt Annæ Youth Choir performed Handels most famous work, The Messiah, at two Christmas concerts at Hellig Kors Kirke and Grundtvigs Kirke. The soloists were: Helle Pedersen, soprano, Lotte Hovmann, alto, Poul Emborg, tenor and Jørgen Ditlevsen, bass. The entire ensemble was conducted by Flemming Windekilde.
Spring concert
On thursday May 2nd the Sankt Annæ Youth Choir held a joint concert with the Sankt Annæ Philharmonics and the Leidens Akademic choir and Orchestra from the Netherlands. After the concert, which was very well attended, the singers and the musicians socialized.
Choir camp and concert in Svendborg
On thursday april 25th the Sankt Annæ Youth Choir travelled to Svendborg, (located on the island of Funen), and finished preparing a concert programme, which was performed at a church concert in Skt. Nikolaj Kirke on april 26th. The church was full and the efforts of the choir was appreciated.
"Messa di Gloria" by Puccini
On thursday march 14th. and friday march 15th., 2002 the Sankt Annæ Youth Choir in cooperation with other Youth Choirs and The Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra performed Puccinis Messa di Gloria. The work was performed with great succes in Gentofte City Hall and in the Concert Hall of Tivoli Gardens.

On saturday january 19th the Sankt Annæ Youth Choir held a joint concert
with the Copenhagen Royal
Chapel Choir and the Sankt
Annæ Girls' Choir in the Copenhagen Cathedral. At the concert,
which was very well attended, the Sankt Annæ Youth choir performed
works from the recend Christmas concerts a.o. the Magnificat by Heinrich Schütz,
"Meine Seele erhebt den
Herren". The concert ended with a joint performance of Michael
Bojesen’s beautiful setting of the Danish hymn "Her kommer, Jesus dine små".
